HORSLEY HILLS : The climate of Horsley Hills,1265 meters high, is delightful. The hills exude charm
     and generate an atmosphere of peace. The wooded slopes studded with groves of teak, red sandalwood,
     eucalyptus, gulmohar and mango, present a pleasing sight. It is a summer resort with accommodation for
     tourists. It is 165 km from Bangalore and 144 Km from Tirupati and both are air-linked.(519 Kms) from
     Amaravati.

     KOLLERU  LAKE  :  The  big  sweet  water  lake  ’Kolleru’  is  a  place  made  enchanting  by  legend  and
     immortalized by history.  It is the home of different varieties of fish and birds. About 8 km off the shore of
     the kolleru lake in the West Godavari District is situated the Kolleru pelicary, which shifts according to the
     places selected by the pelicans for nesting. The birds migrate there around in September  from  district
     lands.

     KUCHIPUDI : Kuchipudi the birth place of a famous dance form was founded by siddhendra Yogi. The
     Siddhendra  Kalakshetra  at  Kuchipudi  offers  a  five  year  course  conferring  the  qualification  of  “
     Natyacharya ”. It is a must for a cultural tourist.(51 Kms) from Amaravati.


     LEPAKSHI : What enchanting memories it revives! dedicated to Lord Siva in Vijayanagar style stands
     facing God Vishnu’s shrine. Hanging tower supported from above is a wonder. Under it can pass a piece
     of cloth.  The huge monolithic Nandi at Lepakshi is the largest of its kind.
     (570Kms) from Amaravati.


     MAHANANDI : Mahasivaratri is celebrated here, when thousands of pilgrims congregate to  worship Sri
     Mahanandeswaraswamy. It is not only a place of pilgrimage but also a picnic spot in view of the natural
     scenery in which the temple is set in the Nallamalai Hills.(352 Kms) from Amaravati.


     MANTRALAYAM  :  Mantralayam  Road  Railway  stn.  Is  15  Kms  from  the  shrine  of  Sri  Raghavendra
     Swamy Temple, which is situated on the banks of Tungabhadra river. Devotees believe that the shrine
     has curative and miraculous powers. Annual festival is held in August. Mantralayam temple is in Kurnool
     District.(440 Kms) from Amaravati.


     NAGARJUNAKONDA  : The  importance  of the great  modern temple  is  enhanced because  amidst the
     beautiful sheet  of  water stands  a tiny  island “Nagarjuna Konda”  which houses  a unique  museum  with
     Buddhist relics.


     PUSHPAGIRI : Pushpagiri meaning the Hill of flowers is sacred to both devotees of Vishnu and Shiva.
     There are eight temples on the hill including one dedicated to kasi Viswanatha. A Chola King has built
     them for averting evil effects. It is in kadapa District.


     RYALI : When a person was going in a boat on godavari, 1.25 Km from this place, he heard bhajans from
     a dense  and  uninhabited forest, so  goes the legend. He  walked  in the  direction  of the sound  into the
